A Special Thank You...

The cast and crew of Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend would like to extend a very special thank you and shout out to Jason Forbis at Enigma Audio Recording for lending his talents to this year's production.  Jason has provided all of Tom Dooley's voice-over and sound effect tracts for the show.  Thank you, Jason, for helping provide great sound to the "sights and sounds" of Elkville!

Meet the Cast - Amanda Grimes as Lotty Foster



Amanda lives in Wilkesboro with 3 of her 4 children. She works in Boone, NC as a paralegal for Walker DiVenere Wright, Attorneys at Law.  Amanda returns for her third season as Lotty Foster in Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend.  She enjoys doing plays with her children and is joined in this production by her son William Baldwin, who plays Bob Cummings, Yank, and the sheriff. Amanda has also made appearances in It’s a Wonderful Life, An Evening of Culture, and Love, Loss and What I Wore.

Meet the Cast - Candice Harless as Betsy Scott


Candice has been a part of the Dooley cast since 2012, previously playing Caroline Barnes, Martha Gilbert & Sam/Malinda Blalock and this year as Betsy Scott & Sam/Malinda Blalock. She previously played Mother in this past year's season of A Christmas Story. Candice and her husband Michael are expecting their first child at the end of the year and couldn't be more excited. Her favorite part of the Dooley gathering is that it is a family affair; playing along side of her husband, father & brother in law as well as her youngest sister co-directing this season.

Meet the Cast - Chad Harless as Colonel Grayson



Chad Harless is in his third year of Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend.  Known as the man of many faces, he joins the stage as The Reb, The Preacher and Colonel Grayson. He has also previously played Michael O'Hara along with The Reb and the preacher in last year's season. He has always enjoyed being on stage including being Bob Cratchit in his younger year's in school. He looks forward to the summer month's when he gets to spend time with those that have become his Dooley family and closest friends.

Meet the Cast Series: Michael Harless Jr. as Jack Adkins


This year is Michael Harless Jr.'s third year returning to the Dooley stage. He has enjoyed playing different roles each year; Jack Keaton and Jonathan Gilbert in the previous years and playing Jack Adkins, this year. He enjoys doing the show with his brother and wife. He is currently working as an electrician with Nathan Gregory Electrical and expecting his first child in December. Michael has also played in The Foreigner and assisted stage managing in A Christmas Story

Meet the Cast - Becca Walters as Caroline Barnes


Becca Walters is in her third year of Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend. This is her second season playing Caroline Barnes. She has also previously been seen in the role of Anna Dooley.  Additionally, Becca played the role of an orphan in the 2011 production of Oliver!  Becca is an honor student and cheerleader in 8th grade.  She has plans to play soccer in the fall, and is active in Girl Scouts and does competitive cheerleading.  She loves music and her puppy Atlas, and plans to be a lawyer someday.  Tom Dooley is a family affair for Becca, as her mom plays Gwendolyn Smith, and her sister, Lindsey, plays Perline Foster.
